Glove Care Guide

Proper care is the key to making your goalkeeper gloves last longer, perform better, and stay fresh. Follow these steps to get the most out of your gloves.

Removing the Plastic
When you receive your gloves, the first step is to remove the protective plastic from the palms.

Run the gloves under lukewarm water for about 60 seconds.

The water will loosen the plastic from the latex, making it much easier to peel off.

Pre-washing Your Gloves
After removing the plastic:

Keep the gloves under lukewarm water and gently wring them out several times.

This activates the “tacky” chemicals in the latex.

After a few minutes, wring out all excess water.

Drying Your Gloves
Hang dry your gloves indoors or use a NO-HEAT boot dryer.

Never expose gloves to direct sunlight or heat, as it will damage the latex.

Regular washing keeps your gloves fresh, tacky, and long-lasting. Wash at least once a week or every 3–5 uses.

Steps:

1. Rinse gloves in lukewarm water and wring out dirt.
2. Work it thoroughly into palms and fingers, rinsing as needed.
3. Wring out excess water.
4. Repeat until no dirt remains.
5. Hang dry indoors or use a NO-HEAT boot dryer.

Expect Wear:
Latex is designed to wear down. Small nicks and cuts are normal and don’t mean your gloves are unusable.

Rotate Pairs:
Keep a second pair for training or backup use.

Dampen Before Use
Glove latex performs best when damp.

Wet palms before playing.
Keep a water bottle nearby to re-dampen during the game.

Weather & Surface Care
Extreme temperatures (summer heat or winter cold) and rough surfaces wear down latex faster. Extra care is needed in these conditions to extend glove life.

Storage & Care
Store gloves separately in a glove bag.
Never leave wet gloves in your gear bag overnight—this can cause mold. Always let them dry properly after use.

With the right care, your gloves will stay tacky and perform well even as the palms naturally wear.
